How Sportdle Works
Pick a sport, guess today’s player, driver, or circuit, and use each clue to get closer.
The basics
- Every game has a daily challenge that resets at midnight ET.
- Unlimited mode lets you keep playing random rounds after the daily.
- Completing a daily challenge keeps your streak alive.
- Eight sports are available: NBA, EuroLeague, ABA League, Premier League, NHL, NFL, Tennis, and Formula 1. Each has its own set of modes.
- Not every mode exists for every sport — the chips on each home-screen card list exactly what’s available for that league.
Game modes
Classic
Guess a player. Each guess creates a row of clues: team, position, height, weight, birth year, and more.
Green = correct. Red = wrong. Arrows tell you whether the answer is higher or lower.
Silhouette
A player image starts completely hidden. After each wrong guess the image is revealed a little more.
Only players with a usable image appear in this mode.
Clue Ladder
Clues appear one at a time. The fewer clues you need, the better your score.
Career Path
NBA · NHL · NFL · Formula 1
A timeline of teams (or constructors in F1) is revealed stint by stint. The first and last stop are shown by default; each wrong guess reveals one more stop in between.
Repeat stints are preserved — e.g. a player who went Cleveland → Miami → Cleveland → Lakers shows all four entries in order.
Stat Line
NBA · EuroLeague · ABA · Premier League · NHL · NFL · Tennis
A card of season or career stats is shown without the player’s name. Cards are position-aware: QBs get passing stats, RBs rushing/receiving, goalkeepers & goalies get save stats, and so on.
Wrong guesses gradually unlock contextual hints (position, team, birth year).
Circuits
Formula 1
Identify a Formula 1 circuit from clues like country, first / last year used, and race count.

Correct clue.
Wrong clue.
Answer value is higher or lower.
Data is unavailable for that field.
Streaks
- Completing any daily Sportdle challenge keeps your global streak alive.
- Each game mode also tracks its own streak separately.
- If you miss a day entirely, the streak resets to zero.
